Hi, I'm Heidi
I am an Auckland based photographer who specialises in dance and portrait photography.
As a former ballerina with The Australian Ballet and current dance teacher, I use my strong classical background to envision and create photographs that showcase a dancers individual strengths and artistry.
My extensive experience as a dancer, dance teacher and photographer puts me a unique position where I am able to guide and nurture dancers of all ages through a photoshoot.
My aim in every photoshoot is that you feel confident and reassured in your abilities as dancer and to walk away with photos that show off the years of hard work you have put into your journey as a dancer.

I chose to take my CV photos with Heidi because as an ex dancer I believe she has a uniquely qualified edge on other photographers. During the photoshoot, Heidi had a calm attitude but a perfectionist touch. Her positive direction during the photoshoot made me feel at ease and encouraged. I am super happy with the photos.
I really wanted to experience an outdoor photoshoot after seeing Heidi’s stunning photos on social media. I also chose Heidi because she is an amazing ballet teacher. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and location of my photoshoot and really appreciated the corrections and suggestions from Heidi during the photoshoot. The whole experience was a very memorable time for me.
As well as being a super-talented photographer, Heidi has the advantage of having been a professional ballerina and ballet teacher, which means her dance models are supported and guided to present correct positioning. She is also able to suggest and direct poses to suit the style of the individual dancer to achieve the best audition and creative dance photos possible. We highly recommend Heidi who is an absolute pleasure to work with, and each shoot has produced some incredible photos!
